Explore the wetlands of the Wairarapa | Torotoro ngā repo o te Wairarapa
Wairarapa Glistening Water website is provided to help build a deeper connection to the diverse and beautiful repo (wetlands) of the Wairarapa in the North Island of Aotearoa New Zealand. It was co-designed by Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa and researchers from the SpatialThink lab at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.
Drawing on mātauranga Māori, Indigenous science, and Western science, the website weaves together strands and layers of kōrero (stories) from different wetlands to uncover meaning and develop understanding.
