We try our hardest to instill a sense of wonder and excitement in all our visitors to our Island Bay Marine Education Centre. We want everyone to be encouraged to learn more about our marine environment and how to care for it. Our motto is that you're never to young to start learning and learning is a life long adventure.

A visit to our Island Bay Marine Education Centre is an excellent way to launch students on their path of discovery.  They're lead on a learning adventure by a Marine Biologist and most of our activities are hands-on. Our popular Snorkel Adventure participants get fully immersed in the Taputeranga Marine Reserve. Everyone's guaranteed to have a close up encounter with our marine life living at the Bait House Aquarium situated at Island Bay on Wellington's rugged rocky South Coast. We make learning fun!
