The free onsite education programme at Central Energy Trust Wildbase Recovery caters for all levels, from pre-school through to the early high school years.
Located in Palmerston North’s Victoria Esplanade, Central Energy Trust Wildbase Recovery provides world-class rehabilitation for native wildlife recovering from illness or injury. Through our interactive education programmes, students will learn about the journey of these animals, the challenges they face in the wild, and how they can contribute to conservation efforts.

Programme Options
Core Visit: A single visit designed to fit within an environmental, conservation, or native species unit.
Big Picture Programme: A three-session learning journey, including an in-school introduction, a visit to Central Energy Trust Wildbase Recovery, and a follow-up session to inspire conservation action.
Our programme is free of charge, with koha (donations) welcomed to support the care of our native birds. We tailor our programmes to suit early childhood, primary, and secondary groups, ensuring an engaging and age-appropriate learning experience for all students.
