Sparking curiousity and creating connections with the coastal environment is the core of the NZ Marine Studies Centre's (NZMSC) programme. Through "hands-on, feet-wet and minds-salty" experiences the Centre fosters understanding and appreciation of NZ's unique marine environment and responsibility towards its conservation. Our staff are skilled communicators who work with in partnership with schools, whanau, interest groups and the wider community to address marine issues as they relate to sustainablility, our interconnected environment, climate change, pollution and more. We provide opportunities for schools, whanau and communities to engage in citizen science, environmental action and contribute to a more sustainable future.
