Environmental Education for Resource Sustainability Trust manages Paper4trees and Zero Waste Education.
The trust conducts waste minimisation education and behaviour change initiatives for schools and the community.
Paper4trees is an award-winning recycling and tree planting programme in over 4,000 schools and preschools nationwide. Find out more here
We encourage schools and preschools to recycle their paper and cardboard by providing the infrastructure required to make this possible - classroom recycling bins.
As an incentive to recycle their paper and cardboard and to report their recycling figures in to us, we reward schools and preschools with one native tree/plant for every two cubic metres of paper and cardboard they divert from landfill.
Zero Waste Education is offered to over 480 schools for students in Years 1 - 8, working with 21 local councils (see locations using the link provided below). Programmes and support include waste audits, composting, worm farms and how to run sustainable school events.
