Mahinga Kai - Education and Sustainability

The opportunity to experience food production and sustainability at the kura level offers potential for future, continued production at the whānau and kāinga levels. Mahinga kai in kura is not THE answer to food sustainability but it is ONE answer.
This webinar will include examples of activities involving kura and their whānau. These examples were formulated through my years of teaching with mahinga kai. We will share ways in which teachers currently view and/or use edible gardens and develop ideas teachers can take away and try in their own kura.
