Established in 2010, Para Kore is a Māori, not-for-profit organisation. The mission of Para Kore is to educate and advocate from te ao Māori with the aim of restoring whanaungatanga to Papatūānuku. Kaiārahi work regionally delivering the innovative Para Kore education programme to marae and rōpū. The rōpū Para Kore delivers education and support to includes: marae, whānau, hapū, iwi, kura, kōhanga reo, puna reo, kindergarten, community organisations, events, churches, tertiary institutions, companies, community gardens, and kaumātua rōpū.
Our work contributes to building Māori power, building a circular economy, increasing biodiversity, supporting climate justice and action, and regenerating ecosystems. The Para Kore whānau are passionate about and committed to collaboration, and collective action that honours mana Māori motuhake and rebalances our connections with Ranginui, Papatūānuku and their children.
