A new Constitution was tabled at the AGM on 14 November 2023, and the attached was adopted, and filed in 2024.
The changes were made due to changes to the legislation that oversees Incorporated Societies and Charities has prompted a review of our constitution. It provided a good opportunity to assess what we need to be doing, what we currently do, and consider other legal safeguards that are in the new laws.
The new constitution is longer than the current one, as it gives more detail about membership, the nomination and election of the National Executive, and meeting processes.
