Recent changes to the legislation that oversees Incorporated Societies and Charities has prompted a review of our constitution. It has been a good opportunity to assess what we need to be doing, what we currently do, and consider other legal safeguards that are in the new laws.
The proposed new constitution is longer than the current one, as it gives more detail about membership, the nomination and election of the National Executive, and meeting processes. You can review it here, and we will be proposing that it be adopted at the AGM.
