This honour sees Sian join the eighth class of innovative leaders under age 30 who are using environmental education (EE) to build more just and sustainable communities around the world. This year’s applicants were so impressive that they actually appointed 31.
This is a great achievement for Sian, and reflects the experience and reputation that she has built with Kids Greening Taupo, Forest & Bird Youth, BLAKE, and with her new nature education podcast The Seed Pod. As part of the international cohort of exceptional young leaders, Sian will receive ongoing support through networking, peer mentoring, global recognition, grant opportunities, and professional development, and work together to not only create change in their communities, but also inspire and mentor others with their commitment to meaningful change.
